Whitmore overlook to Toroweap

Hi All, new member here and thanks for having me . I'm trying to do disperse camping in grand canyon, whitmore overlook to be exact. If there are no camp sites available I have reservations at Tuweep.

Whats the best route to get from whitmore to tuweep without having to track back up ro Mt Trumbull? I see some roads that cut across and less mileage but not sure of the terrain.

Any thoughts?

I was at Whitmore canyon a couple of months ago and it was not all that far back from Whitmore to the Trumbull school to where you turn towards Tuweep. Whitmore canyon has open dispersed camping so you should not have a problem getting a camp site.
