Today I took advantage of the 20% off Fall Sale at Goal Zero, and bought a Yeti 150 power bank. It will be used to power the 12V stuff in the Hiker Trailer until I decided exactly what I want to do with the electrical and solar.

I think I noted earlier that I sold my Blue Ridge Overland Gear Attic net. It was well built, but just didn't work how I wanted it to work based on the previous attic in my Outback (which didn't fit in the 4Runner.)

Today I placed an order for a Raingler full-length mesh ceiling net. It goes from just behind the sunroof all the way back to just forward of the hatch opening. This will be very handy and versatile! Here are some photos snagged from the Raingler web site. I'll post my own photos when it arrives.

It looks great but will it take up already scarce headroom? I guess it's more of a concern for the back seats. I have a lot more headroom in my TRD Pro with no sunroof than I do in my 2010 Trail with the sunroof. Looks like a nifty way to organize light weight loose articles. Jackets etc.
Let us know how you like it.

I'm only 5' 8", so headroom has never been a concern in any vehicle I've owned. :) Both adult daughters are 5' 1"ish, and Deb is only a couple inches taller.

Besides, the rear seats are out in my 4Runner, so no one sits back there anyway.

The stars aligned, and Rainlger Net had a 10% off deal just after redesigning the full-length ceiling net for the 5th gen 4Runner. A couple of weeks ago, I called and talked to Ed about whether to get the web or mesh, and to verify that the new design was available in both version. Got off the phone and placed my order

A week later, my kit arrived, and on days when it wasn't sub-freezing, I installed all eight hangers, six of which needed the B, C, and D pillar trim removed and a footman drilled and screwed into place. A time consuming PITA...

Yesterday, I finished the last one, replaced all of the trim, and unrolled the net to hang. It was the old style... I have ten hangers and only eight straps. The newest design added two more to eliminate the sagging folks complained about. Back on the phone to Ed, and they are making me a new one and ship it out next day priority. Probably won't get it before Thanksgiving, but that's okay, I don't need it right now, anyway. Bonus is that I get the Black Friday free colored stitching on the new one! I love a company with great customer service!

I'll post photos when I get it installed.

Today I received the Tembo Tusk Jumbo Front-Pull Fridge Slide from Jerry. He didn't even have all the parts until six days ago, and it arrived late this afternoon.

Once I knew the bolt pattern for the slide, I disassembled the platform that @Ryan Matthes sent me the plans for, installed tee nuts on the underside, and then finished installing and bolting down the platform and slide. I put in two sets of tee nuts; one as shown, right up against the edge of the folded back seats. And the second set with the slide just hanging over the rear edge of the platform. The latter is needed with the National Luna 90 Twin when I have the rear seats in their upright position.

Once we get back from our trip, I'll add a covering on the platform. Ryan used carpet, but I might go with a heavy rubber flooring so that things don't slide around.

This trip will certainly be telling as to whether the 90 Twin is too larger, and whether we have enough room for the rest of our stuff. It takes up fully half of the cargo area behind the seats!
Here's the Tembo Tusk Jumbo slide with the National Luna 90 Twin installed. I have it on 110V cooling down. It fits and works great, but takes up a lot of the 4Runner's cargo space!

We leave on our next cross-country trip in three days, so I'll post pictures somewhere other than our driveway soon!

I've done a few modifications to my 4Runner. The biggest task was installing a wooden platform similar to yours but I took out the two-seat bench and extended my platform it this area to carry more supplies. Still on my list is bumper, wench, and sliders.

My passenger side rear seat bottom is out, but driver’s side is still in and folded for our daughter or my mother when visiting. Coming from the Outback, losing the rear floor space to the tumbled forward seat bottom was one of the biggest disappointments.

I understand losing the seat space. Since we are empty nesters and retired, the kids don't visit to often....LOL

The local gang from the Ohio 4Runners Facebook Group got together today for tacos and installation of a couple of roof racks. Nothing new on mine, but it was fun meeting some new people, and we made good progress on the project vehicles. Photos by various attendees.

And a Rago Fabrication OEM rail panels installed. This is a really quality option for someone not looking for a full rack install.

Those are some handsome 4Runners. So Steve, in the last two pics, what type/manufacture rack is that?
