Green Creek Overnighter and Trip up to Kavanaugh Ridge.

Heading down Friday night to claim camp. Saturday we will take a 4x4 trip up to Kavanaugh Ridge. Elevation at Kavanaugh Ridge is 11,000 ft and you can see 5-6 lakes spread throughout the valley. The ridge is a rock cliff with a pretty close to straight drop off. This area is known for its abundance of aspen trees spread throughout the mountains. Generally the leaves are changing colors around this time and create some great opportunities for photos.

Vehicle requirements for the Kavanaugh Ridge trail: Aggressive tires, Clearance, 4x4.
A stock Wrangler can do it, a stock Subaru can not. :)

Rally Point Details:

Camping spaces tend to fill up pretty quick along this creek, so we may have to find alternative sites. this means it will be very important for communications once we leave the highway. we will meetup at these coordinates(38.116095, -119.259538) Friday night and find a spot from here. To make sure we can communicate all the info to those of us going, Aaron will get the phone numbers of each vehicle in case calls/text info needs to be sent.

If you want to meet at the location(38.116095, -119.259538) Friday night and wait for everyone else to show up that works, If you want to drive/follow Aaron down from Reno, that works also. Let him know which option you prefer so he knows to wait for you or not.
