Spring is the best time to visit Death Valley. I work for the National Park Service as a volunteer and will be here from 1/16/21 to 4/15/21. With 40 years of playing in this desert I can help you out with maps, GPX files and suggestions for adventure. Come on out!

Rally Point Details:

Currently (12/20) the campgrounds in Death Valley are CLOSED due to State of CA COVID rules. But.... the backcountry dispersed camping (the kind we like anyway) IS available! Backcountry camping is outstanding here. Over 1000 miles of dirt roads to explore and 3.5 million acres. If you need any intel, suggestions or up to date trail reports, give me a shout. I will be camphosting at Texas Springs Campground in Furnace Creek (when it opens) and will be glad to help anybody out. Best way to contact me is email (bob@bobmcnamara.com).
