I tried searching but didn't get a hit so--Question for the guys with wireless winch controllers. Do you leave your control box plugged in all the time or only when in use. The directions say don't leave it plugged in but not having to mess with it each time would be nice. Thoughts from users who have please. Thanks Don

My new smittybuilt winch has a wireless remote BUT has a switch on the winch to choose either wireless on or off. I leave off until needed. Same with wireless remote, has an on and off button to save batteries. I have the wired portion of the cable ran across my engine compartment so that when i need it i can just pop hood, run it outside at drivers side mirror. I then give it a wrap around mirror and plug it into my remote inside the cab for use if wanted to use it that way.
