There are lots of us that are either active or retired firefighters, most of us keep up with the current fire situation across the country so let’s get that information out to our members. Forest closures, current large fires, fire weather predictions - all can help people planning trips this summer, especially in the west. Please keep your information brief, factual, and to the point. The season is shaping up to be a long one so the more we can do to help inform people, the safer everyone will be.

San Juan national forest Coloado is closed to the public until July 31. I had to change my trip in a couple weeks to further north.
