I’m a meat popsicle.

Ok I’m semi retired. Former deputy sheriff. Bad injury forced me out of uniform and I couldn’t stand the internal bs.
Just hobby farming now.
I still do some tactical training with a few tactical teams and a local police department. Mostly as the bad guy or active shooter.

I was a team leader supporting the 2/7CAV in the longest convoy ever from Taji through Baghdad and then out to FOB Duke for the battle of Najaf. That was more than embracing the suck. That was getting downright intimate with the suck.
2/7 was attached to RCT 1 in phantom fury right? That whole area at the time was just flat out making love to the the suck!

Yeah, 2/7 was mixed up in that as well. I do remember that the Marines had the best air support while we were running convoy ops in Anbar. I remember one night leading a convoy of ammo trucks out to Al Asad and just chewing the rag with a pilot flying overhead for an hour or so. We got to the diversion canal between Falluja and Ramadi and he handed me off to the next escort and that guy talked to me all the way to the turn past Hit. The guys in the hummer were all thinking "Do these guys just fly around and bullshit with everyone?"

Manufacturing engineer, defense and aerospace, energetic materials. Just moved from sustaining to new product development. Those in the flight military will know MALD, Tomahawk, Cruise, Hydra, Harpoon, canopy fracturing, ejection, and so on. Thank you for what you do and for giving the ultimate commitment. Remember there is a civilian "army" doing our best to support you and bring you home safe.

I'm a flight nurse.
I was in the Marine Corps (infantry, 0352) then used my GI Bill to go to nursing school.
I had an 11 year break in service, but came back in the military after 9/11.
Now I'm in the Air Force Reserves as a flight nurse, and fly Helicopter EMS for my civilian job. I travel for work (wherever they need me in the US for my civilian job) and go wherever Uncle Sam needs me to for my AF job (been to north Africa a couple times this year).
