8 years in the army - now doing the same thing on the outside. Currently with a travel nurse company as a Lab Tech. I usually get pretty close to where I want to go, but really there's no bad place when you can choose a different contract after just three months.
I am a Project Manager for a large Hospital System. I run campus improvement projects throughout the region. The most interesting project I have run was building a state of the art pharmacy which includes a clean room for preparing IV solutions and chemo. Being the the healthcare construction field has taught me a lot about the importance of the smallest details to deliver a quality end product.
I am a GIS Specialist for the government. I deal with the upper midwest's Indian Reservations. It is a pretty cool job in the sense that I get to go to some really remote and pretty locations for work, not to mention learn about a different culture while performing my job duties.
