Weston Platinum Oval side rails- Beware

This is more warning than review. I have some Westin Platinum Oval side rails on my 2013 Tacoma. Recently I noticed rusty water coming out from the plastic step covers. I decided to check it out and found that the tubes where completely filled with water and rusting insided. I took an impromptu video with my cell phone to show it. Sorry not production quality but shows the issue her is the link.

No they are 3 years old an past warrenty. Unless was just to tell them of the poor design.

You should reach out, maybe they'll do the right thing, but either way they oughta know about it. You can't be the only person dealing with it...

UPDATE... Never heard anything from the Weston company. Have since replaced my side steps with
N-Fab T0678CC Wheel to Wheel Nerf Steps

That's a lot of water! Doesn't make up for poor design or manufacturing but I've used rustproofing cavity wax in as many tubes and box sections as I can on my bar work. Hopefully it will last that way.
