Wayne National Forest

[Black Swamp Overland]

I'm planning a trip to Wayne National forest in Ohio this weekend. The only "spot" that has been recommended to visit is the Atkinson Ridge Fire Tower. I know that there are no real OHV Trails for full size vehicles in the area, but there are plenty of dirt and back roads to explore. Does any body have any recommendations of good scenic spots to see or camp in the area? We are heading out from Columbus, OH on Saturday and coming back on Sunday, so just a quick 1 night trip. 2 adults and 2 kids.

Yeah, we found a good spot off a Forest road next to a small pond. Lots of closed roads made it hard to follow our planned route but that was part of the adventure. I need to post the gpx files.
