Water Purification

Hi everyone,

I am looking to add a rig mounted water purification system to my FJ Cruiser. I want to mount it under my rear cargo area. I have an idea where I could back up to a lake/river connect a hose to drop in the water and connect another to fill up water jugs.

Does anyone have a current system they have on a rig/trailer that they like? I have a dual battery set up so it would connect to my aux battery.

Any ideas help. Thank you!!

don't know about car mounted but I've been using this system for years . packs down to nothing and super simple to use

This platypus system looks good. In the back packing classes I have been in, suggested one of the colapable buckets to collect the water let it sit for an hour or two to settle out the sedimentary crud, Then use a filtration system to filter out the rest of the bad stuff.
