Washington Cascades Mt Adams

We just returned from a 6 day through the Mt Adams, Rainier, and St. Helens area of the Cascades (the first section of the Discovery route) It was planned to be a get away and we figured on cleaning up along way. I was amazed at the amount of garbage we ended up bringing out. It saddens my heart to know that so many people dont care what they leave behind. That being said we had an awesome 6 days and it was just second nature when we stopped for the day, to walk the camp area and pick up. If thats what it takes to keep lands open for everyone, well I'M IN!

Thanks for keeping our forests beautiful! I live in SW Washington and appreciate you cleaning up. I'm going to be headed out next weekend for some exploring and plan on bringing some garbage bags.
