Steward I
Hello,
I am trying to find out how/if I can use a digital ham radio (like an ICOM ID-5100a) as a dedicated GPS receiver, bypassing the need for cell service and the need to buy something like a Dual XGPS160 SkyPro.
To put it simply:
Dual GPS Receiver > iPad (via Bluetooth)
or
Digital Ham Radio > iPad (via Bluetooth)
I am new and a tad bit overwhelmed with digital ham (DSTAR/APRS/ham in general!) and I'm just trying to prevent buying the wrong gear, buying extra gear, and/or have too much redundancy.
Thanks for any help!
