Lived here for many years but many of the trails I used to frequent are now closed or have houses on them. Looking for some input for a day trip on the trails and difficulty. Thanks!

We are not really from the area but have been exploring pretty much every other weekend since we've been here, one place we just recently found we really liked was Black Mountain Truck Trail just north of Ramona in most southern portion of the Cleveland National Forest. It's an easy drive up to the peak at around 4,000 ft. The ridge line up there goes back into a groove of trees and makes for a really great campsite with views of the ocean on one side and the rest of the valley and forest on the other side. Hope this helped if you haven't already been there lol.
