Expedition Master I
Hey Guys,
I've posted several build threads on here from my previous Land Rovers, but I've now started afresh with a Toyota after running into several issues with my previous 110. I've actually been building this Land Cruiser throughout 2020 which has been tough with the current world wide issues we are facing but it's been totally worth the effort and I've had some fantastic support from companies here in the UK and Australia.
Anyway..some images from the day I picked her up from an old boy up in Scotland stock as a rock -

The interior was mint but the body has a few dings and knocks, the front bumper was a little bent so this was on my to-do list the moment I got her...but first I needed a roof rack to carry some loads for work, so a trip to Direct 4x4 was planned and a new Aluminium Roof Rack pick up -

With decent bar work difficult to come by I decided to leave the front bumper for now and look at other areas...I got rid of the road tyres (they actually might have been AT's but were awful...and old) and replaced these with some 33" BFG KM2's, and added some more accessories.

We had a break in the weather and with lockdown not really a thing yet we were still able to get out...this would have been Feb 2020 if I remember right...the 80's first trip with me & my first time in a Clamshell Roof Top Tent

The weather turned out to be pretty crappy and it rained non stop..it also was 50mph winds most of the night!! This trip with the boys was followed quickly with a little weekend adventure with the wife/boss...

The paint work on this thing was driving me insane and the trips and the weather had meant that the 80 had been battered by all kind of weathers, mud, water..so much water, snow, salt, branches...so it was time to freshen up the whole vehicle. Raptor Coating incoming along with some new panels and fresh 2.75" exhaust straight through

Well she's getting there now...Next SUSPENSION and finally get rid of the bent front bumper..
For Suspension I went with the +2" Terrain Tamer PRO Res Shocks, Smart Coil Springs front and rear with a constant load rating on the rear ready for the boot build to be fitted, Adjustable panhards, caster bushes and a HD Terrain Tamer steering damper.

I even made a video on Youtube to show this change... - my video skills aren't the best but hey! Having a go.

We then went into another lockdown and I wasn't able to get out, although I did change our RTT to a more family friendly one and once we were allowed out we hit the tracks once more...

I've recently had both swivels changed and a full wax oil, I again have done a video on this on Youtube which can be viewed here -

That's all for now folks. Thank you for looking through and please let me know your thoughts :D Hopefully more to follow, although at the moment I have put her up for sale as I've found a Troopy I really REALLY want!
