Discovering the Far East of Morocco.
The Algerian-Moroccan borders reserve surprises such as abandoned stations
in the middle of nowhere, pieces of the Niger-Mediterranean railway’s sand-covered tracks.
The famous trans-Saharan line never finished.......
South of Nador, departure of the Mohamed 5 dam. Crossing west/east of the territory
beni Sassen. Ridge track in the wooded mountains and at the bottom of the gorges.
Bivouac on the Mediterranean
Then heading south-east towards the Niger-Mediterranean railway line.
Then comes the Jebel el Ourak to Tendrara Station.
Then it is the very sandy crossing of the Chott Tigri up to the bridge has 7 arches of the Defla wadi.
Due south to Figuig by the Jebels Klakh and Maiz, then west by the Jebel Grouz
until Bou Denib.
