What's up everyone!? BikeHauler reporting in from good ol' Kansas. Emporia to be exact. I've lived here for approx. 8 years and have had the pleasure of enjoying the Flint Hill both in a Jeep and on a bicycle. I'm an avid off-road/endurance cyclist. A couple years back I finally achieved my childhood dream of owning a Jeep. I've been daily driving my '04 WJ. This rig has become a godsend for all the traveling and road trips I've done for bike races. Equipped with a Kuat NV rack and a Yakima LoadWarrior, I can haul multiple people and bike to races, or just myself, my copilot Roscoe, and a ton of gear. Anywhere I go, I always take a bike if possible. That will be one of the essential pieces of gear I bring along with me on every trip. Aside from the WJ, I also have a 1967 Kaiser Jeep M715. This is my truck, off-road toy, and a never ending project. Eventually it will get used for short trips and adventures as it's still essentially stock. I've had it since February and it has under 51k original miles! While it is a blast to wheel in and such, it is definitely not meant for long journeys. I have a vast background with camping as I was in Boy Scouts for many years. Backpacking, bikepacking, and now Jeep camping!
