Hey guys just wanted to share a few pictures of my build over the past few years and continue to update this thread as i go.
These are two pictures taken with in the first year of getting my 08 wrangler 2dr. She just has 33” tires and a set of hella lights, dv8 front bumper and an RC 2.5” lift.
Next started doing some more cosmetics, added a metal gas cap cover with a blue military decal, blacked out tail lights, upgraded tire carrier, attached shovel to the carrier, added a redrock dual exhaust, ebay air intake, nfab steps and a blue hook for the hitch.
Next came the distinctive headlights with blue halos, 16” mammoth tires on 35” trail grapplers, mocha led pods, barricade 9500lb winch, dv8 rear bumper and a gibson dual metal mulisha exhaust which I won in a contest from extreme terrain. Around this time i started getting sponsorships from companies such as dv8 offroad, jetchip and molle platform solutions
Following this up I won 4 car shows over the next 2 years and added a few more things like the dv8 light bar, cut fenders, 4” RC lift, molle panels from molle platform solutions, krazy beaver tools shovel, Dv8 12000lb winch with synthetic rope, factor55 prolink. Also picked up factor55, krazy beaver tools and ledglow as sponsors.
This brings me to my current predicament. I was hit in an accident about 6 months ago. A car going in the perpendicular direction hit my rear axle and spun me across the intersection. During this my front axle snapped. This incident made me decide to do a complete 1 ton axle swap front and rear. So i bought a set of dana 60 axles out of a 2006 f250 and started there.
Now i was tasked with fitting 1 ton under my jk. In order to make this work i added: artec industries f250 1 ton swap kit feont and rear 5.5” metalcloak coil springs, custom control arms, metalcloak control arm drop brackets front and rear, rancho extended brake lines, custom driveshafts built from superduty driveshafts, dv8 adjustable track bars and hydraulic bumpstops, evo mfg extended bump stops, teraflex 1” coil spacer for the front and a set of used 37” nitto trail grapplers to get me by. Here are some pictures from the process.
This is how she sits now. Waiting for driveshafts to get finished. Also trying to fix some clearence issues with the front track bar mount and rear exhaust. Hopefully she will be back on the road soon. Looking forward to reorentating my build towards overlanding. I would like to add a roof rack very soon.
UPDATE: The issues with the steering and track bar have been fixed. Now we are on to ABS sensors all the way around and finalizing the breaking system. On the home stretch now and i have corbeau seats waiting to go it when it gets home. As well as a rock hard 4x4 harness bar and blue dragonfire 3” offroad 4 point harnesses.
