I just love this thread. One of my favorite things about adventuring is seeing the wide sweeping vistas polkadotted by storm clouds and rain sheets. I always feel just a little bit more human when I see the world working before me.

Not so much a storm, but here's one of a foggy morning in Monterey, CA. This is the world famous uphill to the corkscrew at Laguna Seca Raceway.

Also, from the same area and same trip. This little fellow seems to be pointing out to the retreating marine layer.

Monterey, CA - Where you can watch the storm leave and the sun roll in.

When history and the beauty of nature coincide, I get tingly in my loins.

Welp, i'll leave it there for now as I'm having some issues posting content. Until OB gets back to me, I'll have to wait to post more.

Cheers!

Storm chasing was my intro to overlanding. These are from a single cell outside of Victoria KS that went tornadic . We ended up having to sleep in my Ford Freestyle that night and that started the wheels turning in my head. I don't chase anymore (moved too far away from predictable action) but I sleep in my car a lot more often :)
