SoCal to Missoula MT-Suggestions please!

Taking 10 days to head to Missoula to visit family. The trip there will be a bit rushed for our timeline. Day 1 Socal to Ogden UT area (doing dispersed camping near hardware ranch) and then be in Missoula be end of Day 2. We have some rough plans outlined while we are in MT but nothing firm yet. We'll be staying at my BIL's house in town, but am open to camping suggestions for 1 night (last year we camped at hungry horse).

1. Anyone have suggestions for some must see or hidden gems for camping destinations in the Missoula area?

2. We have no plans for our return trip yet and am looking for suggestions for on some sweet camp spots that anyone might have

So many choices.
As long as your on US forrest prop.
Are you wanting close to Missoula, several miles away...?
