Hey everyone,
Excited to start exploring this forum and contributing as well as learning a ton from all of you. A little about myself. I'm new to overlanding but I've been camping and off roading my whole life. I working in several race shops which led me into the awesome opportunity to co-pilot for several race teams in the Best in the Desert and SCORE desert racing series in the Spec TT/6100 class which i still am involved with. nowadays I'm a welder/fabricator at a company in the East Bay area that does high end prototyping/engineering and manufacturing. I'm restoring and updating, what used to be my dads, 1970 GMC K20 long bed. A little different from what I've mostly seen and will be aiming for more of a dual purpose truck, taking what ive learned from desert racing and tweaking it to hit somewhere in the middle of a old school prerunner and a highboy/trail rig, nothing crazy as I will still be cruising it and driving it on the street frequently.

Anyways! looking forward to sharing knowledge and meeting you all! Heres my GMC currently, 409ci shortblock is getting assembled at the shop currently
