Enthusiast III
Hey good morning! YES it's Friday finally. Hope to see some of you this Saturday at the event in San Juan Capistrano. I'm 80% finished with my truck cabinet so inside is mostly complete (are they ever done!?!) It's at least usable. I made the cabinet from scratch...my first real wood project. The KREG pocket jig is awesome for projects like this! I used some inexpensive wood from Home Depot for the base; the top is a Project board from Lowe's that has a butcher block look to it...again very inexpensive. I think I have about $50 into it including hardware. No cabinet doors planned. The shelves sit about an inch below the opening lip to keep the bins and stove from sliding out. It's tight in the back of the truck so everything is meant to come out and enjoy the outdoors! On the end closest to the back door, I might block off the upper panel and install battery/solar panel controls and USB charging ports. Have a great weekend!!
