Anyone do any light offroading around Glacier National Park? Any suggested roads...besides Going to the Sun.

Inquiring minds would like to know. Planning our own trip to the area in mid August, with a stop at Flathead Lake.

There are plenty of NFS roads around the park, but nothing within the park per say. Well... there is kind of a fun drive that is pretty bumpy. It's not really wheeling, but the road is rough enough I air'd down a tad for comfort. There are some other drives that are nice too in the area.

Head out to the The Polebridge Mercantile (a must see anyhow) and from there take North Fork to Kintla Lake.

Bowman Lake however is perhaps my favorite to visit there.

Found some of those service roads. Such a cool place!

The huckleberry bear claws were good!
First time eating huckleberry anything.

Leaving for glacier next week. Overlanding through black hills, yellowstone, then to glacier. Any thoughts on good campsites? Can you drive in and camp at Kintla Lake? Ideas for good trails and campsites welcome at the other two sites as well. TIA.
