Hey everyone!
I’m taking my 7 yo son camping this weekend. Just a quick overnight in the snow hopefully. I’m thinking of heading up hwy 4 to Arnold and then there are some tracks that head off into the hills. Nothing too crazy most likely but the storm may change that. This is an open invitation to anyone who just wants to get out, maybe test your gear, etc as we will be close to town (no more than an hour, probably closer to 30 min) and just a few hours from the Bay Area.

We will be leaving at some time 3/2 Saturday morning. Not too early, maybe 10am, and coming back Sunday at some point.

Post up if you want to join!

We just got back from the snow with kids, it’s heavy snow up there! We went up off hwy 50 and explored some unplowed roads. Make sure to go prepared and bring a shovel!

A kids friendly run as a group would be fun, maybe this spring too!

The Mendocino National Forest is having a crazy snow season this year. I've seen it down to lake level at Pilsbury and in a bunch of places I haven't seen snow before.89272
