I did the same. I can't tell from your pics but if you're looking for something for the bottom of the tank to sit on, a rubber toilet gasket works well. I think the largest ones are 1'' thick.

Saw the price of propane bottle brackets and about fell out of my chair. So I built my own.
Nicely done! I find making my own stuff is not only cheaper but more fun and you get that amazing sense of pride at the end. You also have a better understanding on how to fix it if need be, great work!
