Newbie Question: California sticker for 4x4s?

Hey Bounders, I just want to verify some information because the wording on the California OHV site was not perfectly clear to me. Does anyone know for certain whether there is any type of CA permit required for 4x4s (in my case a Jeep)?

I know about green and red stickers for other OHV vehicles, I am not asking about those, just my Jeep. Thanks for the info.

If your jeep has a valid on road registration then you don't need anything else.

That’s what I thought. Just wanted some confirmation, especially after seeing Oregon’s off-road licensing requirements. Thanks.
