Hello everyone!
I've been into camping and off roading here and there throughout my life but my primary passion was being on the water and sailing (cruising sailing specifically) . Some of you may know that the central focus of cruising sailors is traveling the world by sailboat. I realized after having my first child and now second child that the cruising lifestyle would need to be put on the back burner for awhile as it doesn't fit with being a weekend hobby very well.
This led me to wondering how to get my family outside and do some traveling that would be better suited for short term and weekend camping/traveling. I initially stumbled upon overlanding last year through Expedition Overland YouTube videos and I've been head over heels since then.
I've recently purchased a 2009 Lexus GX 470 that for the time being will be a daily driver/overland rig. I'll be doing more and more build out in the near future. I can't wait to get started and get out there while meeting some of the fine folks of Overland Bound.
Cheers
