I kept dragging my bumper on rocks and ledges until it was about to fall off. I needed a better departure angle so I built a better bumper. I cut off turn signal plates and rear drawer to make room for a much higher bumper. The new receiver has much more ground clearance as well. After all welded together it had shrank so much it did not fit the frame of my truck. We used a 15 ton house jack to spread it back out thus passing the stress test! Epoxy primer and urethane topcoat with reflective stickers and all done. You can have your long bed and ground clearance as well. We spent a week in Moab , Utah on trails that were not accessible before.
