Hows it going, i got into overlanding as an extention of my other two hobbies, 4wheeling and survival prepping. I started out trying to come up with a good twist on a BOV (bug out vehicle) that was dual purpose and still comfortable and along the way i ran into the overlanding comunity. I decided to instead focus on building an overlanding vehicle rather than a simple BOV as i can dual purpose it and overlanding fits my personality more.
A bit more about me personally Im 26 and single. I am gay. (not that it means much but ive found it easier just putting it out up front to avoid issues with others later) my job is Driving a semi truck. Im a realitivly large supporter of the 2nd amendment and gun rights, so please dont freak out if you see my loadout in future posts as my rifles always go with me into the back country if you are against it thats fine but dont comment on it as im not here to debate politics. (again i mention this because ive had issues on this in the past id rather side step)
My big bucket list trip is Alaska and Yukon Canada. A secondary would be Costa Rica though i doubt my current vehicle will be sutible for the latter.
My current project is a bit of a sentimental one for me. I run a 1990 Ford Bronco Fullsize, its one of the less common 302 V8 5-speed manual trucks. Rare as not many Broncos from 1987-1991 body style were ordered with a manual and most manuals were paired with the 300 Inline 6 not the V8. As for the equipment i am focusing more on a trailer setup so i can have vehicle flexibility in the future and since im more a 4 wheeling guy i can do a base camp setup and still have freedom to engage in off road activities while out on trips. I do have my eyes on a dedicated 4runner or LC build in the future but my bronco is my focus atm.
