Awesome! My pro4x wants to be like that when it grows up.

What are those two antennas? Looking into options now for 2m and possibly HF

Thanks! It's been a fun build! I've had alot of great times with the xterra. And see some cool things!

The white "pole" was for a flag but the flag fell off and so its really just for looks lol and I'm just to lazy to take it down.

The black is a 4ft firestick hooked up to my CB

You swapped in 3.56 gears? Did you mean to say 4.56 gears? If not, why so high?
3.69 gears. I sourced a complete rear axle assembly and matching front diff.

A few reasons,
The m226 axle for pro4x models comes with an eLocker
I originally had a c200 axle with 3.13 gear ratio. And with all the added weight, the xterra was really bogging down.
The m226 is a stronger axle than the c200

I also have 33" tires and I've been told that paired with 3.69 is the best. If I move up to 35" then I would go up to 4.10 or 4.56

Ok. The 3rd gen 4runners come with 4.10 and 4.30 if you have the e locker. I run 32’s and the 4.30’s. Isn’t the rear axle on your X a Dana 44?

Ahh thats interesting, I did not know that about 4runners. Is it the same with the newer ones?

From my understanding, the m226 is sort of a D44 variant. It's a design from Dana that's based on their similar era D44HD diff.

I don’t know what the new model 4runners carry. I am pretty sure that they have 4.10 gears though. Toyota does not like spending money on bettering the fuel economy on their vehicles. Lol
