Mounting ARB Awning on a Yakima Roof Rack ??

Looking for Mounting Brackets....

Really want to purchase the ARB 1250 or 2000 Awning. Unfortunately, the awning does not come with any hardware and/or mounting brackets. ARB suggests their "Universal Bracket" but it looks like it won't fit on my Yakima CoreBar without drilling, and I do not want to drill.

Maybe and need to see if the Yakima Awning mounting brackets will fit-up with the ARB Awning Plate. Neither Yakima or ARB show measurements on their sites.

Can anyone send measurements of their ARB Awning Plate?




Or.....Can anyone send the measurements of their Yakima Awning Mounts?



Would greatly help me pulling the trigger on purchasing.

I have Yakima round bars and used hardware I found at Lowes for like $5 to mount my Geo Adventure Gear Manta awning. Their awning came with an L-bracket though. Looked identical to the ARB.

Fourtreks cost an absurd amount but they are absurdly good mounts made by good people.

I had the same need for my racks, but since they all were priced over $5 I decided they weren’t worth it and I zapped these together from some scrap steel. It ended up costing a few bucks for the stainless hardware, but they’re very solid and easily modified. The awning ended up a little low when I first mounted it so I added the extension so I wouldn’t hit my head( I’m 6’4”) anymore.

This is a standard ABR bracket mounted to a standard Yakima round bar. Your awning bolts right up to it. I used U clamps from Home Depot ARB OS850 Awning Bracket

Thanks Gary that is my other Idea. Maybe melding the Universal Bracket to something that fits my CoreBars. I do like the fact that the universal can go down ---For Garage Clearance---
