    Hello All!

Partially completed this route a couple weekends back. I planned the route to hit three major points, a 1960's era B-52 crash site near Greenville ME, the West Branch of the Penobscot River, and two 1930's era abandoned steam locomotives.

We had two flats between the two T4Rs on the trip and after the second decided to head back because we were already behind schedule. Planning to finish the route in the Spring at this point.

A lot of Maine is privately owned so finding long more technical trails is difficult but this was our first overlanding trip so we were more than content to explore logging roads and some snow machine trails. Its beautiful up there and the route takes you right by Katahdin and Baxter State Park.

I have uploaded a .GPX file that I created in cal topo and it worked great loaded in Gaia GPS on my iPad.

Here is a video from the trip:

Great video on a beautiful part of the country!
You have the same cooking setup as we have and even cook the same flapjacks!
Please keep posting your video adventures. I like the pace of your narrative.

If you liked this check out this video I made from a Northeast Overland group trip. If you aren't familiar with NEO definitely check them out! I use the same handle on their small forum as well.

I've been exploring north county history for years. Your trip sounds great, I'd be very interested in doing the same . Please keep this updated. The trains are a destination many here on OB would enjoy.
