Hello to everyone here!

My name is Dave. I have lots of pics when I get released from pseudo-noob purgatory. I have a Daihatsu Rocky that I will be using this year to begin overlanding with.

My Rocky's mods so far (more to come shortly, now that the engine seems to be working straight) include a larger alternator, Suzuki-based custom bumpers, 30-inch tires (I know, they're simply massive ), Monstalining inside and out, new front seats, and full A/C delete. It's a convertible anyway, right?

Much more planned for the next few months.

Location: Northwest PA. I have a beautiful National Forest and all the roads that go with it moments away. I'm very lucky.

Novice. See below. I've camped a ton, and off-roaded a bit, but nothing like what I have already gotten into with my little guy you see here. This was me stuck last week when I was dumb. I'm far smarter now. Thanks for reading!

Hello from beautiful Bucks County, PA !

I’m excited to be an active part of this community and forum.

Growing up in Northern California, with the Sierra Nevada mountains as my playground, was incredible gift. I’ve been hooked on the beauty and excitement of nature ever since.

I’ve owned and modified a few Jeeps in my past. I actually just sold my latest JKU a couple weeks back so that I can start a rig built to get me to (and back from) beautiful places! Let’s just say my past Jeeps looked great at the mall :)

I’m looking forward to learning from all of you!
Best,
Justin Turner

Hello everyone! What an excellent crew you have here. I was researching overland trailers and stumbled upon this site...and had to join. Thanks so much for all the useful info, I hope I can return the favour in the future.

I bit about me...I have an extensive background in expedition travel (mostly in sea kayaks) and I've been into truck camping and off road exploring for that past couple decades. My daily driver is a 2nd gen Ram 2500 CTD, but looking at getting a new JL Rubicon and overland trailer to start exploring a lot more. I'll post me journey as we go.

Thanks again!

There are some good threads re: trailers on the forum, they have helped me with my purchase.

Hello everyone from sunny Southern California. I am new to overlanding, having just gotten my first truck, a 1995, 2wd Ranger, but I have been lurking in the online overlanding community for a long time. Just got my first taste of it in Anza Borrego State Park a couple of weeks ago, and hope to get some more experience very soon. I am excited to be a part of the OverlandBound community.

Hello guys, Wadz here from North Vancouver, BC, Canada. I'm in the process of doing an unconventional full sized rig Overland build. I'll be bringing my dirtbike along on adventures so this build will need to carry a FE501 Husky. I have a 2014 FX4 F150 and look forward to sharing with you guys the build from beginning to the end and look forward to your feedback and advice!

Experience is little more than novice but not expert, family has done off road racing in Southern California and surrounding area. Mountain trails in SoCal, I am trying to get into the overland scene find some great trails and site to camp at in addition to some great people who enjoy the same, and teaching some of the novice overlanders.
Location: currently Jacksonville, NC however will be in Southern California in less than a year.
Vehicle: 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, all stock for now. Looking at available additions to put on.
Expierence: Novice, some minor trails for hiking and off road racing.

IMG_0131(2).jpg Hello, My name is Jordan. I've been off roading since I could drive, avid outdoorsman, and I consider myself an adventurer, but new to the overlanding scene. I've enjoyed watching all the content on-line, but eager to get involved and have fun. I am a recent transplant to Arkansas, Jacksonville/Little Rock area, coming from Alaska. I'm driving a 2015 Ram 1500. I have plans for a new vehicle before I start really outfitting this one.

Why do you posts come out 3 times? Is this the key to building up your post count?
Not @Kent R, but I can say that post count is nothing that he cares about. His multiple posts are his effort to welcome every single new member that has joined since he last logged onto the forums... and he does an amazing job of it.

Is there a way to see who might be near me, or do I have to be a paying member to do that?
Yes in order to use the member map you need to be a member for a one time fee.
