Hello everyone!

New member here from Sacramento California.

Current vehicles: 2017 Jeep Renegade Sport 4x4, Daystar 1.5" lift Toyo A/t tires 225 75 r16. 1991 Chevy 2500 4x4 3 inch lift A/T tires.

Former 4x4: 1987 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 Rubicon Express lift 33" tires. (regret getting rid of this)

I have done a fair share of off roading in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in my past. That was with a much more capable rig than I have now. The Renegade gets me to work, I am a wildlife biologist and have to go to some crazy places in my line of work. The Renegade fit the bill getting decent gas mileage while being somewhat capable off road. The Chevy is my back up for muddy job sites with a high likelihood of getting stuck.

I am looking to do some weekend trips with my wife and kid, and will likely be getting a new vehicle that is both reliable and capable, not one or the other like I have now. I am thinking about getting a full size truck to build into an overlander, maybe a Tundra or newer Chevy pickup. Any advise on that would be appreciated.

This is my daily driver, I am sure you can imagine what the Chevy truck looks like :-).

E2F2295D-1CA5-4232-9E8C-065A0B6034F2.jpeg Hello all. I am new to the Overlanding scene, but I have been adventure touring on motorcycles for quite a while. I am working on setting up my rig so that I can start taking the family on some adventures. I am from the flat lands of Central Illinois, but I travel as often as possible to places with more scenic terrain. Thanks for having me and I look forward to the discussions to come as I get myself situated.

Hello!

My name is Brandon, but my secret overland identity is AZ98XJ.
I live in Gilbert, Az with my 9 year old daughter Ana and our 3 year old boxer Dipper.
Our overland rig is a 1998 Jeep Cherokee (XJ). Currently it has a 4.5" lift with 32" tires and a pretty solid 4.0 I6 (116,000 +/- miles) engine. It has a few upgrades here and there and hopefully many more to come.
I consider myself a novice when it comes to overlanding.. but I'm ready to get out there and learn as much as I can.

Hello, I am Mike aka razorrc been a forum name for years. I live in Everson, Pa with my wife, our black lab/pit Dixie, and 2 cats Mama and Sqush. Current rig is a bone stock 2017 GMC Sierra SLE Doible cab which also doubles as my work truck. Previous rig was a 11 GMC Sierra SLE extended cab. I've built a few xj's and zj's with my dad and brother. Consider myself a experianced novice when it comes to overland, have years of primitive camping and wheeling, but first time overlanding.

Plans for rig are 2.5" level with removable sway bar, 33's, home made removable bed rack, hitch mounted winch, and a few other goodies. 20181124_161149.jpg 20160809_141938.jpg

Hello from Rapid City, South Dakota. New and learning about overlanding but I did a Falls Color Run at Salida CO in 2004 (photo below) that is close to it.

I love the outdoors and recently added mountain biking to the list. My bike hauler was a 91 Toyota 2wd pick-up which limited me to the local trails. So, I sold it and traded in my awd car for something practical which is a 3rd gen Tacoma.

Hello All,

I am Anthony, from Wolfforth, Texas. Started off roading back in the late 90's when I was stationed in Utah. Have had different vehicles over the years and recently downsized from a Tundra to my first 2018 4Runner TRD ORP. Since I am new to this vehicle, I am still planning my build. Any advice would be great and look forward to being a part of OB.
