Hello everyone!!!! My name is David, I’m 29 from Palmdale California (LA County). I don’t have any overland experience. Just your normal tent camping here and there. I’ve ordered a RTT already and have a few other basic necessities but hope to learn and grow in time. I’m stoked to dive into this with my family and make some awesome memories! Hope to see you out on the trail!
Welcome to Overland Bound David
You are very close to some great desert camping, and now is the season.

Hi all, I'm Drew. I am a super causal. My family enjoys car camping and we're looking for some more off-the-beaten path adventures. Low tolerance for crawling, more of a forest roads fan. We're in San Diego county but spend time on the road (yay covid) working and schooling from different places. Headed to St. George next week, Joshua Tree in Dec. I'm looking for advice and options for accessible and fun sites as well as finding and sharing cooking tips. Love campfire cooking! Excited to have found y'all.
Welcome to Overland Bound Drew

Hi all, I'm Stefan from Elko County, NV. Been hanging out in the t4r.org forums a lot but thought I'd make the jump over here for the community! Mostly stock 5th Gen 4runner, just tires and suspension. Fair amount of off-road driving under the belt, along with CDL 'froading. Rock crawling though? Not so much. I enjoy the adventure as much as the destination. Cheers n beers

Hello everyone,
Names Daniel. I’m from Post falls, ID. Started Overlanding last year and have been trying to go as often as possible. Always loved camping and with the rooftop tent I get to go more often now. Looking for more places to explore around Idaho-montana. I hope to see some of you on the trails out there!

Hello Daniel. Welcome to Overland Bound.
I am the Northwest Director. @Sandpoint Steve is your closest member representative.

To help navigate through the forums, here are some links that can be filtered by “Region” prefix. We are in the Overland Bound North America US Northwest Region (US Northwest for short).

Overland Bound Meetups- is where all member generated rally points are posted in forum format for discussion of Rally Point and other types of Meetups. A meetup can be as simple as a group getting together for coffee, a trail ride, or a full in expedition with other Overland Bound Members.

Overland Bound Trip Planning- is a great place to talk about planning a trip wether by your self or as a group.

Overland Bound Routs: Downloadable- is exactly what it sounds like. Search, or share your GPX files here with a description of the route and POIs.

Share your Overland Routes- is similar time the downloadable posted above, but doesn’t require you to share the actual GPX file.

Overland Bound By Region < North America < US Northwest- is where you can find regional members discussing local events, Overland News, and general topics. It’s a great recourse to mete others in the regions.

Member Maps- a great trip planning tool. It can also be used to send out messages to members near your location, or a location you plan to visit.

Rally Point- a tool used to creat Meetups or send out an SOS.

Lastly, we have a monthly conference call on the third Sunday of the month starting November 15th, 2020 at 19:30 hours Pacific Time. I encourage everyone to participate in these calls as we mentor each other on various topics. November we are discussing Portable Power options.

Inland Northwest Monthly Conference Call

Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask myself or your member representative team. Again welcome Daniel and hope to see you on the trails.

Hi there,

I'm a happy overlander. I love the challenge of building up a rig that suits my needs. I'm currently in a 2008 Tundra. So far I've installed an OME 2" lift, switched over to Falken AT3W's for tires (love them!), have created a sleeping/storage/kitchen area in the bed with a shell over the top, built my own GooseGear-style back seat storage, have installed and am adding to a solar setup, and have various accessories on top of the Rhino Rack roof rack. I'm adding a front and rear bumper setup from Expedition One next weekend!

I live in Oregon in the Columbia River Gorge, and absolutely love to go out on various kinds of trips with my friends. Exploring and getting out there really makes my life more full. Other things I do:
Photography
Fishing
Hiking
Biking

...and the list goes on. Happy to be a part of this forum. Looking forward to all of the information I can get.

Hi y'all.

I'm Dean in Tyler, TX.

Just getting the overlanding bug, and will be using my '82 F-100 as my adventuring rig.
I'll probably start by using a truck bed tent, just to see how we like it.

I don't know what I don't know, so I'm here to learn.

I used to go camping a lot years ago, and a lot has changed in the market. I still take motorcycles off road whenever possible, just to see what's there.

I was a former Arizona EMT in the 80's, and I am still interested in emergency/survival medicine.

Just a quick intro instead of just lurking all the time.

Hello!!

Im Ernesto, total newbie here, zero experience overlanding; plenty experience car camping/backpacking, mostly flatlander in FL. Moved recently to Albuquerque, NM, got a stock 2019 Honda Ridgeline, very eager to learn, explore, go further into the backcountry.
Currently using a truck bed tent, hope to start with easy trips, meet like minded people, learn how to improve my vehicle to go further, safely into the backroads.

Thanks!!

Hello OO members,
My wife and I had our first child in June and we immediately realized we needed a bigger SUV for us and our two beagles so I went and purchased a 2020 4Runner. Its my first Toyota and after seeing some of the mods and different rigs out there I immediately became hooked on the overlanding topic. I have always been an outdoorsy person but never anything serious or have never invested much time or money into the purpose of Overlanding. From what I have seen, there is some great discussions and people amongst the community as well as the general message of preserving and bettering nature around us and want to get my family involved. I’m not rich by any means so mods and purchasing tents and etc... will be slow and will take some time but will definitely take part in discussions on these forums. Im excited to get started and look forward to speaking with you all.
