Hey everyone, I’m new here and just picked up a 99 Runner. I was hoping you guys could point me in the direction of a 2” lift that’s not going to blow up on me. I live in North East Ohio and don’t really get too crazy off road. Thanks everyone! I’m looking forward to your answers.

For 2 inches, there's not much to worry about as far as components. Shocks is the big one, then choose between either HD coils or coil spacers for the back.

For the money I'd go Bilstein 5100 F+R or 6112+5160. Then pick up some Old Man Emu rear springs at your desired load rating.

Those Bilstein shocks have an adjustable lower perch to change front lift height so you can go up to 2.5" (I believe) just by swapping them in.
The OME coils will give you height by way of stiffer spring rate.

Obviously you can go bigger from the usual suspects like Icon, King, and Toytec. But for a moderate trail rig, the above does well.
