In my mind I am always at a remote high-elevation lake surrounded by snowcapped peaks.

Catch the cool Fall weather and the last of the colorful Aspen at 9600'! This is a family friendly overlanding trip to beautiful Leavitt Lake. The meetup is the camp at Leavitt Lake (see map). Call me on 146.460 or 408-480-9583 if you'd like help navigating the last couple of miles to the top (high clearance required, 4x4 recommended), else we'll see you there! We'll be camping above the lake behind the first knoll to the north (left as you get to the lake).

Hello All :-) I hope you are preparing for an amazing weekend at Leavitt Lake! The weather looks quite good through at least Sunday morning, with lows around 40F and highs around 70F - bring sunscreen! A few quick questions.... 1) Backroads to Bodie on Saturday - who wants to go and do you have any room for extra passengers (so not everyone has to break camp)? Janet and I are going, but our truck only holds the two of us. 2) Who is up for a potluck on Saturday night, and what would you like to contribute? Janet and I will contribute chicken and large tortillas for making burritos. We look forward to seeing you at the lake!

Hi there, we want to try our hand at chow mein for the Saturday potluck  . Backroads to Bodie sounds great; our car is also just a two-seater since we removed the back seats.

Looking forward to it!

Looks to be a fun time! Odds of potluck seem low, but we'll trade burritos for chow mein

Good evening
I’m going by myself so I can have one passenger.
The backseats are folded down for gears and stuff.
Let me know
