Meeting up with at least one other driver from the Toyota 4Runner forum for a last minute run up Fish Creek with a bit of exploring of Sandstone Canyon. We’ll be heading up the trail at 10am sharp, plan on meeting at the intersection with Split Mountain Rd with enough time to air down or do any other prep. We’re both in stock 4Runners so no plans to get past the gatekeeper in Sandstone Canyon, but we’ll explore as far as we can. Plan is to explore the Mud Caves, enjoy a lunch, make it to the gatekeeper, then return and maybe grab some ice cream in town. Bring a lunch and plenty of water, temps have dropped but it’s still easy to get dehydrated while hiking. The route is mapping out at 13 miles each way, so allow plenty of time and fuel to make it out and back.
