So in an attempt to make my rig lighter and more accessible I removed the bulky the massive swing away tire gate. This allowed me quick access to the back of my jeep like it was stock again, a huge improvement. However, one issue this modification caused was the ability to add a roof rack to my jeep. The MORryde Tire gate has a massive hinge and backing plate system that get in the way of every roof rack design that was worthy of the abuse I will subject them too. Here is a video on how I decided to modify a Garvin Wilderness Roof Rack to work with my MORryde tire gate. I can say that I love the setup so far and am glad I did this.
