Good day everyone!

I hope all of that plan to be out exploring and making an adventure for yourselves this Labor Day weekend travel safe.

As of September 3rd, 2021, the build-up on my 1978 FJ40 has been fraught with numerous delays due to part shortages, supply chain challenges, and resource struggles. So far...

The crate 350 V8 is installed (270hp/355ft#)
Mated to an NV4500 (yes, I am old scool)
Which is mated to an Orion Transfer case
Four wheel disc brakes with crossed drilled and slotted rotors.
New 35" sneakers at all four corners along with Fuel 17" wheels.
I have front/rear ARB lockers with a twin cylinder compressor
For comfort, new bucket seats and an A/C heater unit. Tilt steering wheel and 4-point harness attached to the roll cage.
New 3 row radiator

For my peace of mind, the 13 gallon tank is gone and replaced with a 29 gallon under the seats fuel cell.

All this is part of phase 1. There will be a phase 2 once I get my rig out of CA and up to my new home in Oregon.
