Fiddling road trip from NJ-FL-TX-CO-CA-WA

Hey y'all, I'm a Fiddle player going across country to play a few shows. Just bought an 06 Wrangler TJ and I have been looking into overlanding and RTTs since I'll be staying in National Parks the entire time.
Here is my one main question,
If I buy an exterior roof rack that mounts to the frame and specifies that it's load cap is 300lb, does that mean that you and the rtt are the only things able to be up there safe when sleeping? Or can you sleep a load over the 300lb limit?

Also, just curious if you guys have any amazing places to mention as I'm picking out the itinerary now.

To great smokey mountains
To St Augustine Fl
New Orleans
Baton rouge
Austin
Colorado in general
Utah in general
Yosemite, ca and redwoods
Olympic national Park
Yellowstone
Glacier national Park
Mount Rushmore
Idk where else but eventually it's back to jersey..

Let me know where you play in NJ when you get back. The wife and I would love to hear you play.
Can't help you out with the weight question but call the rack company and ask them individually. There are different weights they will refer too, off road, static, etc.

Thanks, I'm performing tomorrow at the Horseneck tavern in Caldwell NJ from 7-10
Friday at Nardi's in LBI nj from 7-9
Saturday at pine bay liquor aka 7 stools in tuckerton nj
And Sunday from 6:30-8:30 at the Celtic Corner in Hawthorne NJ.

And I called the company and got the weight sorted out.
It would be awesome to meet another overlander at a show!

Where / when are you playing in WA?

I'm only planning on visiting Olympic national Park but am coming from Klamath national Forest CA and have no set itinerary. If you have any places in mind that might have a great music scene or a lot of street performers, I'd love any suggestions!
As well as nature wise as I am an avid hiker and biker.
