My Journey
July of 2017 I had a Honda Accord and borrowed my friends Tacoma to visit Sequoia National Forest and Kings Canyon with my daughter. Suddenly I had a thought that I liked this truck and maybe I should get one though I’ve never owned a truck before. I’ve never really camped, more of a hoteler than ever a camper. As I was researching Tacoma’s (which I did for 6 months) I stumbled onto overlanding and Overland Bound. Nothing has been the same since. Unfortunely I divorced 3 years ago and knew I needed to spend quality time with my kids, so I got my truck in February and took my son with my good friend Greg and his rig on the Mojave Road. I figured out Rally Point and posted a trip to Bald Mountain above Shaver Lake CA and took all three of my children and met some awesome OB members. Now I am free camped off of Puget Sound looking out the window of my RTT at the gorgeous view of the sound with my son asleep next to me. Before this trip I was inspired to spare my spine so I built an overland Drawer for which I made a build thread as well

To everyone on OB staff and members, thank you.
My fancy blueprints
My finished drawer
Leaving for Whistler BC all loaded up
Disperse camping near Castle Lake by MT Shasta CA
Astoria OR and the Columbia River, had to use a campsite due to high population area
First night in Canada
Finally reached Whistler, the Disneyland of MTBing
B Line Trail, so much fun to ride
That’s one very happy son
Campsite in Whistler, where mosquitos can carry off small dogs
Sights of the Whistler area, Brandywine Falls, Lost Lake
Mud Day on the Slopes
My current view
Hard to see Puget Sound, but I’m so sore I don’t wanna get up yet ;)
Adventure is necessary...and fun! Outfit and Explore
