I made up a 40 Ah battery box with integral charger/maintainer to run a 50 watt LED floodlight for a friend in storm prone Florida. The box is lightweight and has USB and cigar lighter ports for charging cell phones or other 12vdc electronics.
Yes a jump pack would be cheaper but will not give you the amp hours 17-18 Ah vs 40Ah. Also, the batteries I use are deep cycle batteries.
