Today started off looking like it would be a day inside due to thunderstorms and rain however I'm happy to say the weather cleared in the afternoon to allow me to get on with the rear door shelf for the cooker etc.

The rear door shelf is something that we have been thinking about for an age but I always had other things to do. Although I like the Mobile Storage Solutions type housing the cost is difficult to justify. So a simple shelf unit was the solution.

Basically it is chequer plate cut to size, hinges, webbing strap as I did not want to go down the noisy chains route and then padded foam for the shelf top firstly to protect the surface and secondly to reduce noise from vibration etc. The Landy is noisy enough without adding to the issue.

I'm happy with the results and just need to add some edging trim and paint touch up to complete it.
