Consideration for bumper/slider

As I believe I've mentioned in a previous message, I recently purchased myself a 2019 Tacoma DCLB. This is currently my daily driver as well as possibly becoming my home as I do some traveling. I'm still looking around as to my sleeping setup (possibly something like EarthCruiser MOD 300). Due to my dependency on this truck, I won't be doing any rock climbing but I'm interested in basic overlanding.

So my question -- I'm looking at different bumper and slider options (since they look way better than factory) and to reduce weight I was thinking about alloy. Am I crazy to even consider this or would it be sufficient since I won't be dropping onto rocks? If I'm not crazy, any recommendation on companies that are manufacturing them? Thanks!

I've been looking at this company for my cruiser. https://white-knuckleoffroad.com/sliders/
On my jeep, their necessary, not only as a slider but a step. When I get them for my cruiser, they will only be used as a step (and look cool). The other day I had a car almost merge into me. The first thing I thought wasn't "he needs to pay attention", it was "I wish I had the sliders on". If he hit me, it just would have dented the sliders, not my door.
The set on my jeep, I made. Their functional and look ok. My Toyota, I want to look good too. After looking at what's on the market, I like these best and the shop is 30 min's from my house so no shipping.
Very limited options for front bumpers for new Tacoma's.

EDIT: I missed the alloy question. Lighter is good as long as nothing accidentally hits them. Alloy can also mean more money and less strength. Alloy with high strength is very expensive.
