My friend Paula has an awesome well-maintained 27 year old Land Rover Defender in which she recently did an overland trip to Scotland and her story was covered by this website: https://columnm.com/camping-on-the-mountains-and-beaches-of-scotland-in-a-land-rover-defender/

Here are some photos from her camping trip.

Paula is an overland fanatic who’s also a photographer, Paula certainly knowns that to set camp for the perfect visuals is almost always after the paved roads finish.

Great stuff! Adventure awaits all over the world. It is forums like this that help us discover those other worlds and the people in them and whose heart beats longingly to the same rhythm as mine. It is a common language.

Dream rig and dream place. I have many dream rigs but at the top of that list is a Defender, unfortunately for my I live in the US and they are just hard to get and when you do find one they are very expensive.

First episode is up! This is by any measure a prequel, it's the sort of "getting there" part of the trip. But, here's episode 1, crossing the Scotland border.

We're editing the remaining 14 or so episodes ... hope to post more soon!

We also took the opportunity and met up with another OB member in Skye for lunch

The scenery is stunning

Fantastic photos!

We did Mull, Iona, Skye, Harris & Lewis, as well as the NC500 northwest part (Applecross to Ullapool to Betty Hill and then down to Edinburgh). Episode 3 (Oban, Mull, Iona) being edited now.
