Hi all,

The family and I are headed to Rocky Point Mexico and need to find a place to stay tomorrow evening near Blythe or Quartzsite. Does anyone know of a decent place for a truck (camper) and open trailer? I'm hoping to find something close to the freeway. The original plan was to stay in a truck stop but if we can find somewhere almost as convenient but a little more in the open... even better.

Thanks in advance!

I've never stayed there, but quartzite becomes a small city in colder months, huge number of rv's assemble outside of whatever town is there.
Huge amount of space to setup primitive camp out there, don't think you'll find a problem. Google Quartzite and it'll probably come up with some interesting info.
Probably coming to the end of that season. Lots of snowbirds.

We ended up staying at Dome Rock Campground, which is free BLM land. It's a little close to the freeway but the price is right and it's only a quick detour.

Kofa National Wilderness Area is close by. If the Gem show is going on in Quartzite it will be packed. It may be over. Can't remember.
