Even if you don't currently have a rig that you consider to be an "Overlander", bear in mind one of the founding principles of this site, "It doesn't matter what you drive: The only requirement of an overland vehicle is that it serves the job required, safely." An overland rig is is what you want it to be. We've all seen some pretty epic adventures being conducted in myriad of vehicles...from motorcycles to EarthRoamers. It's all about the adventure and not necessarily how you got there. I suspect that if you were to reach out to a fellow Overlander, you should be able to find someone to explore with. Just get out there, you don't have to wait for the perfect vehicle/weather/etc.
