Putting it out there for an overnighter to Glass Butte in Central Oregon, 77 miles east of Bend. Looking at April 21-22, weather permitting. I have yet to go there but it looks pretty cool. Check it out on the internet. You can collect obsidian (legally) and there is dry camping with porta potties.
Plan would be to meet up and leave from Bend Saturday morning- time could be dependent on who wants to go and how long it will take them to get to Bend. Head out, hunt a little obsidian, get acquainted, spend the night and head back at your leisure on Sunday.
Have a couple Central Oregon friends that are interested. Anybody else? Let me know and we can put some details together.
