I will be add more to the point of interest as I plan the route.

Flint Ridge dates back 10,000 years it is listed as a Prehistoric Monument. it is not uncommon to walk along a creek across a field and find arrowheads and type types of tools made from flint or rock in Coshocton County.

The most famous deposit of flint in Ohio is an area in eastern Licking and western Muskingum Counties known as Flint Ridge. The Vanport flint of Pennsylvanian age covers a ridge top area of about 6 square miles. The flint deposit ranges in thickness from about 1 foot to 12 feet. Flint Ridge flint is noted for its array of colors and suitability for lapidary and flint knapping. Native Americans from throughout the Midwest made periodic pilgrimages to Flint Ridge. The purity of this rock permitted skilled workers to fashion a wide variety of tools, weapons, and ceremonial pieces. Artifacts made from Flint Ridge Flint have been found as far east as the Atlantic coast, as far west as Kansas City, and as far south as Louisiana.

Nethers Farm

The Nethers Farm, located smack in the middle of the flint deposit, has long been open to "modern" rockhounds. For a mere $5.00 collecting fee, you can take home all the rock you can carry for only 50 cents per pound. All one needs to do to collect there is show up on any given day - advanced notice or a reservation is not necessary. The side porch is left open and the directions on how and where to collect and pay your fees are left hanging next to the inside door above a large scale.

White Eye TWP..

Chief White Eye was a Chief of the Delaware tribe and founded the town of White Eyes near the present day West Lafayette.

Broadhead Massacre located Chesnut Street in 1781, Colonel Daniel Broadhead was sent to capture or destroy all Indians villages in the Muskingum River Valley. Broadhead's army of 700 men then headed for fort Pitt with about 20 prisoners . When the army stopped at this for water, tensions grew and all the males prisoners were killed.
